Labor Basics

Labor Basics consists of two 3-hour sessions covering topics such as signs and stages of labor, when to call the doctor, types of anesthesia, vaginal and cesarean births, and immediate care of the newborn, your recovery and the first week at home. Note: If you know you are having a C-section, you may wish to attend only the second session of this class. All classes end with a tour of Women's & Children's Services. There is no fee to attend, but registration is necessary. Space is limited to 12 couples. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a pillow and or blanket.

EVENING CLASSES - 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Classes are held at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in the Education Rooms at 4604 Spotsylvania Ave, Fredericksburg, VA.
